Hooke's Law

This video describes Hooke's Law, which is an application of linear functions of the form y = kx. As you watch this video make a note of the following items:

  • The coefficient k is called the spring constant.
  • This coefficient is also the slope of the linear function.
  • Make a note of the units for k.

The graph of the function is a line with a slope of k. Think of the domain and range of this function.
