Proportional. The relationship between two quantities or variables, such that a change in one results in a direct change in the other.

Proportion. When two ratios are equal, they form a proportion.

Unit Rate. A rate expressed as a ratio with 1 in the denominator or sometimes as a decimal.

Origin. The point on the Cartesian Coordinate Plane with coordinates (0, 0).

Cartesian Coordinate System. A right-rectangular system for identifying the locations of points in two- or three-dimensional space.

x-coordinate. In Coordinate Geometry, the x-value of a pair of coordinates.

y-coordinate. In Coordinate Geometry, the y-value of a pair of coordinates.
