Lines, Rays and Segments Title Card

Line. An infinite, unbounded set of coplanar points that form a straight, one-dimensional Geometric object. Two points define a unique line.

Ray. A part of a line that has one endpoint, but is otherwise unbounded.

Line Segment. In Geometry, the part of a line that is identified by two endpoints.

Any two points are said to be collinear.

Collinear points are connected by a unique line.

A line is made up of an infinite number of collinear points.

A line is straight and extends to infinity in both directions.

Any two points define a unique line.

A ray is made up of an infinite number of points.

A ray extends to infinity in one direction.

Two points define a unique ray.

A line segment is made up of an infinite number of points.

A line segment has a finite length.

A line segment has two endpoints that define it.
