Definition

A five-sided polygon.

Description

A pentagon is a polygon with five sides and five angles. This shape is commonly found in both natural and human-made structures. The sum of the interior angles of a pentagon is 540 degrees, calculated using the formula 

(n − 2) × 180

where n is the number of sides. Understanding pentagons is essential for studying polygon properties and solving geometric problems.
