Description

This example shows a parabola with its focus at (0, 1) and directrix y = 2. The parabola opens downward with its vertex at (0, 1.5). The distance p from the vertex to the focus is 0.5. This example illustrates how the position of the focus and directrix determines the orientation and equation of the parabola.
