Sequences and Series Example 5

Topic

Sequences and Series

Description

This example uses the formula -2n + 4 with limits from n = 1 to n = 10. The sequence generated is: 2, 0, -2, -4, -6, -8, -10, -12, -14, -16. The sum of this sequence is -70. This arithmetic sequence decreases by 2 for each term, starting from 2. It illustrates how negative coefficients affect the direction of a sequence and its summation.
