SAT Math Lesson Plan 18: Rational Expressions and Equations
In this SAT Math lesson, students explore the essential topic of rational expressions and equations—a foundational skill in both the Heart of Algebra and Passport to Advanced Math categories on the SAT. Through scaffolded instruction and guided practice, students learn how to simplify rational expressions by factoring, identify domain restrictions, and solve rational equations, including those that model real-world applications such as rate and work problems.
